Why Merlion Ledger

Designed for where you actually are

No jargon, no rush

Every concept is introduced at a pace suited to someone carrying full professional and family responsibilities. Ideas are given room to settle before the next one arrives.

Singapore-specific content

Course materials are built around instruments and institutions relevant here: CPF, SSBs, CPFIS, SGX, and the MAS regulatory framework — not translated from a foreign market.

Practical worksheets

Each course includes templates you can use with a licensed adviser: an Investment Policy Statement, a fee-audit worksheet, and a family conversation guide for coordinating plans.

Balanced perspective

We do not sell financial products and receive no commissions. Our purpose is to help you form well-considered questions — not to arrive at answers on your behalf.

Self-paced reading

Weekly readings are sized to fit a busy schedule — each module is written to be completed in an evening, with optional questions to revisit at your own discretion.

Aligned with MAS guidance

All course content cross-references MAS MoneySense materials and encourages engagement with licensed advisers for personal decisions, keeping you on solid regulatory ground.

Take the First Step

Begin with curiosity.
Build with clarity.

Whether you are just starting to think about your investments or ready to review what you already hold, one of our three courses has a place for you. Write to us and we will help you find the right starting point.

Common Questions

Things worth asking before you begin

Do I need any financial background to join?
No prior knowledge is assumed. The first course begins with what cash and savings really mean before moving to any investment category. If you can read a bank statement, you have everything you need to start.
Will the courses tell me which specific investments to make?
No. Merlion Ledger provides financial education, not personalised financial advice. We will help you understand the landscape and prepare better questions for a licensed adviser, but the decision about any product remains yours and theirs.
How much time do the weekly readings take?
Each weekly module is written to take roughly 45 to 75 minutes to read carefully, with optional self-check questions adding another 20 minutes if you wish. Most participants find a weekday evening or a quiet Sunday morning works well.
What is the difference between the three courses?
The first course builds a working vocabulary and mental map of investment categories. The second helps you sketch a personal allocation and understand your own risk profile. The third is for people who already hold investments and wish to review, rebalance, or simplify. They can be taken in sequence or individually.
Are the courses available fully online?
Yes. All materials are accessible online at your own pace. You may also write to us to ask about in-person reading group sessions held periodically in Singapore.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund within 14 days of enrolment if you have not yet accessed more than the first module. After that, we are happy to discuss a credit toward another course. Please write to us at [email protected] and we will respond within two working days.
